Local Senior of the Year Awards

Do you know a local senior who goes above and beyond for their community? Nominations are now open for the NSW Local Senior of the Year Awards for 2026!

The awards are a key feature of the annual NSW Seniors Festival and are a great opportunity to recognise outstanding seniors across the Charlestown electorate whose dedication and spirit inspire us all.

Some of the reasons you could nominate a senior for an award are:

• Making a significant and lasting contribution to their local community
• Volunteering consistently or supporting local initiatives over time
• Promoting health, wellbeing, and active living
• Enriching the community through arts, storytelling, or cultural preservation
