Rebates
The Minns Labor Government's number one priority is helping people across NSW with the cost of living. I know it’s the single biggest issue right now.
Locally, from 1 September 2026, you will receive a $100 discount on private vehicle registration, and in good news for people who travel on Sydney toll roads but don't have an e-tag, we have scrapped the admin fee which have been charged on toll charges.
In addition, there are a range of other supports available. You can find information about NSW Government rebates and vouchers through the Savings Finder, as well as advice about how to deal with cost-of-living issues through the dedicated Cost of Living Hub.
Grants
The NSW Government offers a wide range of grants and funding opportunities for a variety of community organisations.
Application requirements and processes change all the time, so it's important to be aware of what's required from you as an applicant and how your application will be considered.

Community Building Partnership (CBP) Grant Program
Could your community infrastructure project benefit from a grant of between $10,000 and $100,000?
The Community Building Partnership program provides grant funding to local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
Since 2009, the program has awarded more than $505 million to over 22,400 projects across the state, including:
- Building an access ramp to a community hall
- Resurfacing a sporting court
- Installing a shade sail for a playground
- Upgrading a clubhouse kitchen
- Purchasing equipment for a public announcement system
- And so much more!

Local Sport Grant Program
The Program delivers grants to community sporting organisations for new equipment, programs and facility upgrades that support and encourage participation in sport and active recreation across the state.
Grants of $2,000 to $20,000 are available for individual projects, with a total of $50,000 available for local clubs across the Charlestown electorate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for local clubs to secure funding for:
- Facility upgrades
- New Equipment
- Programs that boost participation and inclusion in sport and active recreation
This funding is about backing the clubs and volunteers who show up week after week to keep community sport running, and making sure the benefits of sport, physical, social and mental, are shared right across NSW.
