The Minns Labor Government has awarded a share of $200,000 in grant funding to 39 Councils and community organisations to support NSW Seniors Festival celebrations in 2026.
The NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program will support engaging events including wellbeing workshops, concerts, and community outings.
One example includes a $10,000 grant to Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council to support their Live Life in Colour project, featuring scenic bus tours, craft sessions, gentle yoga and more.
Penrith Council was also awarded a $5000 grant to support their 2026 Services Expo and inform local seniors about services available to them.
The popular grant program attracted 328 applications this year from organisations to run various activities and events.
Successful grant recipients were awarded following a robust selection process.
The NSW Seniors Festival will run from 2-15 March 2026. For a full list of the successful recipients and to find out more, visit: www.nsw.gov.au/seniors-festival
