Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise the outstanding achievement of Callum Martin, a student at Hunter Sports High School, who has been selected to represent Australia in the 5000-metre walk at the upcoming Oceania Athletics Championships 2026 in Darwin from 18 to 23 May. This is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to Callum's hard work, discipline and dedication to his sport. To earn a place on the national stage at Oceania's biggest athletics event is an honour few achieve, and one that reflects the countless hours of training and commitment Callum has put in to reach this level. The Oceania Athletics Championships brings together some of the region's leading track and field athletes across senior, junior, para and masters categories, showcasing the very best of athletics talent from across the Pacific. The Championships are also a crucial step on the pathway to major international competitions, including the Commonwealth Games and the World Athletics Championships. I congratulate Callum on this incredible achievement and wish him every success as he proudly represents our community and our nation in Darwin.
