Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to congratulate Callum Martin on his outstanding achievements in racewalking and his recent selection to represent Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin. At just 15 years of age, Callum has established himself as one of the country's most promising young athletes. In 2026 alone, he has claimed two NSW State Championship titles in the 1,500 metre and 3,000 metre racewalk events, secured third place in the Open Men's 5,000 metre racewalk, and won two national titles in the Under 16 3,000 metre racewalk and Under 18 5,000 metre racewalk. Callum has also achieved two remarkable records, setting a new Little Athletics Australia Best Performance for the 1,500 metre racewalk and establishing a new Australian Under 16 record in the 3,000 metre racewalk. In doing so, he became the first Under 16 athlete in Australian history to break the 12-minute barrier for the event. A student at Hunter Sports High School and a player with the Dudley Magpies Under 15s rugby league team, Callum's dedication, discipline and sporting excellence are truly inspiring. I congratulate him on his achievements and wish him every success in his future athletics career.
