Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Claudia Chapman has achieved outstanding success on the international stage through her recent participation in the International Talent Award program in Cattolica, Italy. Representing Lake Macquarie Dance Academy in Warners Bay, Claudia travelled overseas during Term 1 after receiving the opportunity to take part in this prestigious program alongside talented young dancers from around the world. Throughout the experience, Claudia trained with internationally renowned institutions including the English National Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School, Dutch National Ballet Academy and Hamburg Ballet School. She also undertook pre professional classes in Florence and Rome, gaining invaluable experience in an elite global dance environment. Claudia's talent and dedication were recognised with an exceptional result at the competition, where she received first place and the Artistry Award in Senior Classical. She was also offered an intensive opportunity with the English National Ballet School, a significant achievement that reflects her skill, discipline and commitment to her craft. Claudia's success is a testament to the hard work she has invested in her training and is a source of immense pride for the Lake Macquarie community.
