Comforting Care Community Hub

28 May 2026

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—The opening of the Comforting Care Community Hub in Warners Bay marks a wonderful addition to our local community, creating a welcoming and supportive space where people can connect, access services and feel a sense of belonging. I was pleased to celebrate the official opening of the hub on Monday 18 May and recognise the important work it will provide for people across our region. Founded by Helen Majdandzic, who has built a career dedicated to disability and aged support, the hub has been created with a strong focus on bringing people together, fostering connections and supporting those who may be experiencing isolation or disadvantage. Open Monday to Friday, the Comforting Care Community Hub offers a wide range of programs and services including community access and social support, youth programs and mentoring, community hub activities and transport services. Importantly, it provides a safe and inclusive environment for young people and individuals from diverse backgrounds to feel supported and valued. Facilities and initiatives such as this make a meaningful difference in strengthening community wellbeing and social connection. I congratulate Helen and everyone involved in bringing the Comforting Care Community Hub to life.
