Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Dawn Lambert, recipient of the 2026 Lake Mac Awards Senior of the Year, for her outstanding contribution to the Lake Macquarie community. The Lake Mac Awards celebrate the best and brightest individuals working for the good of the city, and Dawn's recognition reflects a truly remarkable lifetime of service. Over five decades, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment across a range of community initiatives, including diabetes awareness, veterans' commemorations and support for vulnerable families. A proud member of the Valentine Lions Club, Dawn has played a key role in delivering local projects, coordinating major fundraising efforts and mentoring volunteers across the region. Her ability to bring people together and inspire others to contribute has had a lasting and meaningful impact on community wellbeing. Dawn's dedication, compassion and tireless advocacy exemplify the very spirit of the Lake Mac Awards and the values that make our region so strong. I congratulate Dawn on this well-deserved recognition and thank her for her extraordinary service to the people of Lake Macquarie.
