Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Our region has a proud history of producing talented athletes who demonstrate dedication, resilience and determination in pursuit of excellence, and Emma-Sue Greentree is a remarkable example of that sporting spirit. A former Hunter Sports High School student, Emma-Sue has been selected to represent Australia at the upcoming Commonwealth Games. At the age of 17, she discovered boxing and has since dedicated the past decade to mastering her craft and competing at the highest levels of the sport. Emma-Sue's success is a testament to her commitment and work ethic. Training twice each day during the week, along with additional sparring sessions on Saturdays, she has consistently demonstrated the discipline required to excel on the international stage. Her achievements have been outstanding, including securing back-to-back bronze medals at the World Boxing Championships in 2023 and 2025. These achievements have helped cement her place among Australia's top boxers and contributed to her selection for the Commonwealth Games team. I congratulate Emma-Sue on this well-deserved achievement and wish her every success as she proudly represents Australia on the world stage.
