Film Night Fundraiser

03 June 2026

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise the Charlestown Rotary Club for its ongoing commitment to supporting our community and for the success of its recent film night fundraiser in aid of the John Hunter Children's Hospital. Held at Boolaroo, the event brought together club members, supporters, friends and families for an enjoyable evening while raising funds for an important local cause. Through the generosity of those who attended and participated in the night's raffle, the fundraiser raised an impressive $4,400 for the John Hunter Children's Hospital. This achievement reflects the dedication of the club's members and volunteers, whose hard work ensured the event was a resounding success. For many years, Rotary clubs have played an important role in strengthening communities through service, fundraising and volunteerism. The Charlestown Rotary Club continues this proud tradition, supporting local initiatives and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I congratulate the Charlestown Rotary Club on the success of this fundraiser and thank its members for their continued service and contribution to our community.
