Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Jayden Marriott, a talented young artist whose creativity and dedication to his craft are making a meaningful contribution to our local arts community. At just 21 years of age, Jayden recently showcased his work in an exhibition at the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang, Lake Macquarie, where he presented several abstract paintings from his collection titled 'I'm With You, I Always Have Been'. The collection reflects a sense of childlike wonder and energy while exploring deeper emotions through bold colour, form and expression. A former student of Warners Bay High School, Jayden has continued to develop his artistic practice beyond the classroom, embracing the opportunities available to emerging artists. He shares his creative process with a growing audience through social media and his personal website, where his artworks can be viewed, purchased and commissioned. Jayden's willingness to experiment with abstract forms and communicate complex emotions through art demonstrates both courage and creativity. His work highlights the vibrant artistic talent within our region and inspires others to pursue their passions. I congratulate Jayden on this wonderful achievement and wish him every success as he continues his artistic journey.
