Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to recognise Jessica Jordaan for her courage, resilience and commitment to supporting breast cancer research through her participation in this month's Big Bold Walk. Jessica, a baker and mother of two, was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer in December 2025 after discovering a lump during a routine self-check. Since her diagnosis, she has faced her treatment journey with remarkable strength and determination. Motivated by a desire to give back to the medical professionals who have supported her throughout her treatment, including the dedicated nurses and healthcare workers who have provided expert care, Jessica has signed up to take part in the Big Bold Walk. The initiative raises funds for Breast Cancer Trials, an organisation committed to improving breast cancer prevention, treatment and patient outcomes through world-leading research. Since its inception in 2023, the Big Bold Walk has raised more than $2.1 million to support life-saving research and improve the lives of Australians affected by breast cancer. Jessica's participation is an inspiring example of turning personal adversity into positive action. I commend her efforts and wish her all the very best for her continued treatment and recovery.
