King's Birthday Honour List 2026

25 June 2026

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to congratulate the local recipients recognised in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List for their outstanding service and contributions to our community and their respective fields. This year's honours recognise individuals whose dedication, leadership and commitment have made a lasting impact on the lives of others. I congratulate Wing Commander Leigh Wrighton‑Jones, recognised for meritorious achievement in capability acquisition, sustainment and testing of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. I also congratulate Kenneth Fayle OAM for his decades of service to veterans and their families, Owen Kilpatrick OAM for his contributions to rugby league and the superannuation industry, Milton Ward OAM for his service to the community through music, and Dr Gabor Major OAM for his distinguished service to rheumatology and healthcare. Each recipient has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving others, whether through military service, community leadership, healthcare, sport, music or veteran support. Their achievements reflect the very best of our region and serve as an inspiration to future generations. On behalf of the Charlestown electorate, I congratulate each recipient on this well-deserved recognition and thank them for their many years of service, leadership and contribution to our community and our nation.
