Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Fifty years of service as a Justice of the Peace is an extraordinary milestone, and Larry Young's longstanding dedication to supporting the community is truly deserving of recognition. It was a pleasure to recently meet Larry and be part of the celebration held at New South Wales Parliament acknowledging his remarkable contribution over the past five decades. Since becoming a Justice of the Peace in 1975, Larry has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service and community support. Through countless document signings, certifications and assistance provided to local residents over the years, he has generously dedicated his time to helping others navigate important legal and administrative processes. Justices of the Peace play an essential role within our communities, providing accessible and trusted services that many people rely on every day. Their work is often carried out quietly, yet it makes a significant difference in ensuring people can access important support close to home. I congratulate Larry Young on reaching this incredible 50 year milestone and thank him for the invaluable contribution he has made to the community through his years of dedicated service as a Justice of the Peace.
