Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Lewis Nicholson is taking a remarkable next step towards his dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer, earning a full scholarship to the internationally renowned John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany. At just 16, Lewis has already dedicated seven years to pursuing a career in ballet. He currently trains full-time at Nova City Ballet in New Lambton, spending around 35 hours across six days each week developing his craft. That dedication is certainly paying off. Lewis recently won the Sydney Eisteddfod ballet scholarship for the second consecutive year, with his junior and senior scholarship wins totalling an impressive $25,000. Now, Lewis is packing his bags for Germany, where he will continue his professional training at one of the world's leading ballet schools before pursuing a career with a professional company. It is incredibly exciting to see a talented young dancer from our community stepping onto the international stage. Congratulations, Lewis, on this wonderful achievement. I wish you every success for this next adventure and cannot wait to see where your passion and hard work take you.
