Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I would like to once again acknowledge Natalia Hogan, who has now completed her remarkable 170-kilometre run from Sydney to Newcastle, in support of people experiencing homelessness. Beginning at Observatory Hill Park in Sydney and finishing at Empire Park in Newcastle on Sunday, 26 October, Natalia undertook the challenge as part of Nedd Brockmann's "Uncomfortable Challenge", which encourages participants to push their limits for a meaningful cause. Her run, titled "Running Home," was a deeply personal journey inspired by her own lived experience of homelessness as a teenager. Partnering with We Are Mobilise and the Samaritans, Natalia aimed to give back to the organisation that once supported her, while raising awareness of the barriers faced by young people without stable housing. Across the two-day run, Natalia showed remarkable endurance, strength and determination. Her effort raised more than $40,000 to support homelessness services in our region. I sincerely congratulate Natalia Hogan on completing this incredible challenge and thank her for her dedication to helping others. Her achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through courage, resilience and compassion.
