New Lambton FC Juniors

Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Arnetts FC is an all-abilities team associated with New Lambton FC Juniors, and in July was recognised by Northern NSW Football as Team of the Month Encompassing players with a diverse range of abilities, Arnetts FC is led by Emma Martyn, who has been running the All-Abilities Program at Lambton FC for three years. The program gives children from different abilities a supportive environment to be involved in football. Disabilities-specific, the program is a place for school-aged students to have a go and achieve their personal best on the football pitch. Skill development is a key feature of the program, and it comes in its own time. Excellent teamwork, great skills and genuine joy are seen whenever Arnetts FC plays, with the team known to be encouraging and supportive of one another. This comes down to positive culture curated by the volunteer parents and coaches, and New Lambton FC's commitment to inclusivity and diverse. I am so please that this ensures each player's contribution is greatly valued. Congratulations to all those involved in Arnetts FC for this fantastic and well-deserved recognition.

A Community Recognition Notice is an opportunity for an MP to submit a short statement praising the work of an individual or group in the local community. If you have any ideas about people I can recognise with a Community Recognition Notice, please email and let me know!
