Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Tamara Barry has represented the Lake Macquarie community with distinction through her recent participation in the International Talent Award program in Italy. As a student of Lake Macquarie Dance Academy in Warners Bay, Tamara travelled overseas during Term 1 after receiving the opportunity to take part in this prestigious international experience. During her time in Italy, Tamara trained with leading international dance institutions, including the English National Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School, Dutch National Ballet Academy and Hamburg Ballet School. She also participated in pre professional classes in Florence and Rome, gaining invaluable experience in an elite global training environment. A particular highlight of the program was Tamara's involvement with the Artist in Residence pre professional company, where she took part in a week long choreographic workshop alongside dancers from around the world. This opportunity allowed her to further develop her artistry, technique and collaborative skills while representing her local dance community on an international stage. Tamara's dedication, professionalism and commitment to her craft are truly commendable, and her achievements are a source of pride for the entire Lake Macquarie community.
