Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—Wilhemina "Billie" Umeh-Nicholas has taken an incredible step onto the professional stage, making her musical theatre debut as Young Nala in Disney's The Lion King at Sydney's Capitol Theatre. A student at St Joseph's Primary School, Billie began dancing at just three years old before discovering musical theatre and the joy of bringing dancing, singing and acting together. Her first community production was Oliver with Hunter Drama, and now she is performing as one of five young performers alternating in the role of Young Nala. Taking on such an opportunity has required enormous commitment from Billie and her family, including relocating to Sydney for eight months and balancing online schoolwork with performances each week. Recently, Billie had a particularly special audience when around 80 of her St Joseph's schoolmates travelled to Sydney to cheer her on from the crowd. Billie's talent, confidence and dedication at such a young age are wonderful to see. Congratulations, Billie, on an incredible professional debut. I am sure your schoolmates, teachers and our entire community are very proud to see you shine on the Capitol Theatre stage.
