Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault) (21:37): Community engagement is an important and valued quality, and it is particularly encouraging to see young people making meaningful contributions to their schools and local communities. I was pleased to present the 2026 Year 12 Community Service Awards to Ava Lloyd from St Mary's Cathedral College, Riley Neilands from Warners Bay High School, Lilly Cousins from Whitebridge High School, Aisha Fox from Hunter Sports High School, Sofia White from Kotara High School, Lanna New from Cardiff High School and Isabel Hingston from Trinity Catholic College. The awards recognise students who demonstrate a strong social conscience, actively participate in school and community life, mentor their peers, and go above and beyond to support those around them. I congratulate each of those students on their achievements and thank them for their dedication to making a positive difference in our community.

A Community Recognition Notice is an opportunity for an MP to submit a short statement praising the work of an individual or group in the local community. If you have any ideas about people I can recognise with a Community Recognition Notice, please email and let me know!
